A head-hunting firm in the scientific startup space approached me with the need to scale up their business and to change their approach to startup recruitment. Traditional recruitment models are too slow and expensive to really serve the fast-moving startup world, and there are often financial barriers to early stage startup companies connecting with the much needed senior talent. Conversely, senior executives who would like to get involved with the startup world often find it very difficult to find relevant company founders.
The platform allows the consultants in the firm to easily onboard companies and talent, and to easy identify matches and make introductions. At the heart of the platform are short video introductions, which give a rich impression of the company founders in lieu of an established brand.
The platform is currently in development
PROCESS
I worked with the company to run initial research sessions with potential customers, then conducted a concepting and market validation phase, which included designing prototype screens. The team are currently refining the service model, prior to building the MVP
